Children enjoyed traditional food festival at A.K. Azad LP School

Oct. 15: In a unique endeavour, various traditional food items were prepared by the cook cum helpers of 693 No. A.K. Azad LP School under Silchar Urban Block on Thursday. The food fest was organised by the active cooperation of the Head Teacher Monjil Ahmed Raj Barbhuiya and SMC Vice- President and other members and all the teachers of the school.

The items which were prepared are Rice Cake, Malpua, Goder Sondesh, Muri Ladoo, Tiler Ladoo. The food items were distributed among the school children. The nutritional value of them were also explained to the little children.The food items were made in the School Kitchen only from the MDM materials available with the school. All the dishes and distribution of the items were done keeping all the covid-19 guidelines and hygiene.

In order to inspire the school children, officials of SSA Cachar were invited by the school authority. Present during the occasion were DEEO Sumitra Deb, Programme Officers Dr. Bidyut Deb Choudhury, Kripanu Roy, Rana Ranjan Nath, Papri Bhattacharjee and Mid-Day-Meal (MDM) in-charge Sahil Ahmed Laskar. All of them praised the noble initiative undertaken by the school.
