Assam registers 9 more deaths on Thursday due to COVID-19, toll rises to 843

Oct. 15: On Thursday, another 09 patients lost their lives due to COVID-19. With this, the death toll in the state due to coronavirus has now reached 843. In a tweet, State Health Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma wrote, Very sad and anguished to inform that 09 more COVID positive patients have succumbed to the disease. My condolences to all the families. We stand by you in this hour of grief.” the 09 deceased were identified as:

• Bishwajit Buragohain (50) of Charaideo
• Rupen Saikia (58) of Tinsukia
• Kaushik Barman (32) of Kamrup Metro
• Jim Majhi (25) & Gunumoyee Borah (72) of Jorhat
• Kobin Dutta (62) of Lakhimpur
• Bharat Malakar (82) of Sonitpur
