3 trucks carrying timbers from Mizoram sans transit permit seized

Oct.3:.Three trucks laden with timber from Mizoram without transit permit were seized at around 2 am on Saturday at Dholai.

Officials of Cachar Forest Division led by Sunnydeo Choudhary, DFO, Cachar division, Dibyajyoti Deori, Range Forest Officer, Hawaithang Range, Dholai and protection squad intercepted the trucks carrying timbers without transit passes and seized them. The drivers and handymen have been arrested. Interrogation is on.
