MP Dr Rajdeep Roy meets Civil Aviation Minister, discussed proposed airport in Silchar

Sept. 30: A new civil airport in Silchar is on the cards since a long time. On Wednesday, Silchar MP Dr. Rajdeep Roy met the Civil Aviation Minister, Hardeep Singh Puri (MOS independent charge) in New Delhi. During the meeting, Dr. Rajdeep Roy discussed about the proposed Greenfield airport at Silchar and issues related the present Kumbirgram airport. 

In a tweet, Hardeep Singh Puri wrote, “Met Silchar parliamentarian Shri @drrajdeeproyJi in my office today. Apart from other issues, we had a long discussion on the proposed Greenfield airport in Silchar which will enhance air connectivity to the region. This will also boost economic & employment opportunities.”
