Designated venues to remain open till publication of electoral rolls for municipality elections in Cachar

Sept. 26: In view of work relating to preparations of electoral roll for conduct of elections to Silchar and Sonai Municipal Boards, designated venues and institutions with polling stations notified for receipt and hearing of claims and objection shall remain open from 10 am to 6 pm on all working days till publication of final electoral roll.

An order was issued to this effect here on Friday by Deputy Commissioner, Cachar, Keerthi Jalli. The order directed all the designated officers and heads of institutions to ensure compliance.
