Yuva Morcha: Jayanta Chakraborty becomes state VP & Amitesh Chakraborty Dist President

August 25: The new committee of Assam Pradesh Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha was formed on Tuesday. Assam State BJP President appointed a 16-member committee of State Office Bearers of the state Janata Yuva Morcha for the year 2020-2023. Out of the 16 members, Jayanta Chakraborty was the sole office bearer from entire Barak Valley. Mr. Chakraborty was selected as the Vice President of Assam Pradesh Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha along with 6 others. Prior to this assignment, Jayanta Chakraborty was the Secretary of the Pradesh Yuva Morcha for two consecutive years.

Apart from this, the names of 39 District president of Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha were also declared on Tuesday. In a notification signed by State President Anup Barman, Amitesh Chakraborty was selected as the President of Cachar district Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM). He replaced Monoj Talukdar as the new President. Prior to this new assignment, Amitesh was the Secretary of BJYM, Cachar district. He served in various other positions. He was the Silchar Unit Secretary of ABVP in 2011-14. he also became the Unit president of Assam University in 2014-15. From there, he became the North East Joint Secretary (2015-17). He was also the Central Working Committee member in 2016. He then became the National Executive Council member of ABVP in 2016.

Expressing satisfaction, Amitesh Chakraborty said, “I take this opportunity to thank our Pradesh BJP President Ranjeet Kumar Das and BYJM State President Anup Barman for depositing their trust in me. Further, I express my gratitude to Cachar BJP President, MP Silchar all senior party workers.

Sanjoy Roy was declared as the President of Hailakandi district BYJM and Amit Paul as the President of karimganj district BYJM.
