1585 patients discharged in Assam on Friday

August 7: On Friday, 1585 patients were discharged from hospitals across Assam. With this, 38,809 persons got cured and were subsequently discharged in Assam. Friday further registered 2679 fresh cases, which took the state tally to 55496, out of which, 16,552 are active cases. The day also witnessed 6 more deaths due to COVID-19, thereby taking the death tally to 132. In a tweet, State Health Minister, Himanta Biswa Sarma wrote, “1585 patients have been discharged today. Feel good for all those who are back home. Kudos again to efforts of doctors and medical teams.”
