Death toll in Assam crosses 100-mark with 3 more deaths including 2 from Cachar

August 1: The death toll in Assam crossed the 100-mark and reached 101 on Saturday. Three more deaths were registered in the state, out of which two of them are from Cachar district. The two persons who died due to COVID-19 in Cachar are Morning Pohleng (40) and Lila Paul (70). With this, the death tally of Cachar district due to coronavirus has gone upto 04.

The 3rd person to succumb to coronavirus infection on Saturday is Hiramon Thakur (68) of Golaghat. In a tweet, State Health Minister, Himanta Biswa Sarma wrote, “Very sad to share the demise of three more #COVID19 patients today. My deepest condolences to their bereaved families. Prayers.”
