Hailakandi Police gives heroic welcome to policeman who resumed duty after getting cured of COVID

July 27: At a time, when many people, even a section of the highly qualified and educated lot attach great stigma to COVID-19 patients, Hailakandi Police set an example by giving a heroic welcome to one of their personnel who resumed duty after getting cured. Hailakandi Police shared a glimpse of the cured policeman entering the office amidst claps by his colleagues standing in queue. Netizens flooded the post with likes and comments. One such netizen wrote, “Bravo! Hailakandi Police… It’s an exemplary move. The message you conveyed through this act will definitely sent positive vibes in the society and make people conscious.”

HC Hasmat Ali, a Police personnel of Hailakandi DEF got infected with coronavirus on the line of duty. He was admitted in the hospital for treatment. However, after getting cured, Mr. Ali was discharged. On Monday when he resumed duty, the greatest surprise of his life awaited for him. The good gesture depicted by his colleagues won his heart.

In a tweet, Hailakandi Police wrote, “HC Hasmat Ali, who was the 1st Covid-19 positive Police personnel of Hailakandi DEF, has joined and resumed his duty today. He has been given a warm welcome by senior officers and his colleagues.”
