Medical Representatives in Cachar directed to stop visiting doctors & do swab test

July 23: The increasing number of COVID-19 positive cases in Cachar District has become a serious concern for public health for which several measures needs to be taken to prevent the further spread of COVID-19. As such, in an order issued by Sumit Sattavan, Additional Deputy Commissioner of Cachar, all Commercial Medical Representatives working in Cachar District were directed to suspend their activities including visit to doctors and their respective offices for 14 (fourteen) days with effect from 23 July, 2020.

Further, the Medical Representatives were directed to isolate themselves in home and give their swabs for testing of COVID-19 within 27 July. In this regard they may contact the Nodal Officer, Assam Targeted Surveillance Program (ATSP) of Cachar District at Mobile No. 9707107616. The order will come into force with immediate effect.
