Himanta holds video conference with DC’s, reviews COVID situation & containment measures
July 15: As the numbers are rising in Assam, it’s alarm bell for the government to come up with fresh strategies to contain the further spread of the virus. Till now, a total of 18,666 COVID-19 positive cases were reported from across Assam. It is in this context that a virtual meeting was held by State Health Minister, Himanta Biswa Sarma with the Deputy Commissioners, Medical Superintendents & Doctors in Assam on Wednesday.
During the video conference, the health minister took stock of district-wise COVID-19 situation. He reviewed the situation prevailing in all the districts of Assam and also discussed the current situation of COVID-19. Sharing this information, State Health Minister, Himanta Biswa Sarma in a tweet wrote, “Today held a VC with DCs, Medical Superintendents & Doctors in Assam to review and discuss current situation of #COVID19. Among others, we analyzed the threat perception and discussed if the containment measures are being adhered to in right spirit.”
