2 tests positive in Karimganj on Saturday

July 4: The number of coronavirus positive cases is rising in an alarming way in Assam. The positive cases are also skyrocketing in the three districts of Barak Valley. On Saturday, 2 new cases of COVID-19 positive were detected from Karimganj. Out of the two, 34-years-old Mahbubur Rahman from Ratabari in Karimganj has travelled back to the district from Mumbai. However, the other patient, 30-years-old, Sanjib Sharma from Srigouri CHC Karimganj was detected as positive during the routine Assam Targeted Surveillance Program (ATSP). Their swab samples were collected on 1 July. Both of them were reported to be asymptomatic.
