Massive fire engulfs 5 houses in Patherkandi

June 11: In a tragic incident, a massive fire engulfed five houses in Patherkandi constituency of Karimganj district on Thursday evening. As per reports, the incident of fire occurred due to cylinder explosion. Fire fighters rushed to the spot and doused the fire. However, by that time, the 5 houses were gutted in the fire. There were, however, no loss of life. MLA of Patherkandi Krishnendu Paul rushed to the spot and provided a financial assistance of Rs. 50,000 to the families whose houses were burnt. The houses were learnt to belong to a single family.
