34 persons with travel history to COVID-19 affected states discharged from quarantine in Silchar

April 28: In a brief programme on Tuesday, 34 persons who had travel history to corna affected states and ware quarantined in S.M. Dev Civil Hospital were released. Deputy Speaker, Assam Assembly Aminul Haque Laskar, Deputy Commissioner Barnali Sharma, Joint Director of Health Services Dr. Sudip Jyoti Das and other health officials felicitated the discharged person from quarantine facility.

In his speech, Aminul Haque Laskar, Deputy Speaker, Assam Assembly appreciated the relentless effort of district health officials and staff. Barnali Sharma, DC, Cachar in her speech thanked the quarantined them for maintaining patience and discipline during their quarantine phase.

It needs mention here that the State Level Committee for Discharge of Quarantined Persons has approved their discharge only after three their three consecutive throat swab tests turned negative. Further, 12 health personnel who were involved in the treatment were also discharged.
