SMCH urges patients to carry Aadhaar Card for hassle free registration and healthcare services

way2barak, June 8: –In a move aimed at streamlining patient registration and enhancing healthcare service delivery, Silchar Medical College & Hospital (SMCH) has requested all patients and attendants from across the Barak Valley to carry their Aadhaar Card while visiting the hospital for treatment, whether in the Outpatient Department (OPD) or the Indoor Patient Department (IPD).

According to the hospital administration, the Aadhaar Card will facilitate proper patient identification assist in the creation and updating of hospital records and help ensure the efficient delivery of various healthcare services. Patients have been advised to bring either the original Aadhaar Card or a clear photocopy or digital copy at the time of registration.

The initiative is expected to make the registration process more systematic and convenient while enabling the hospital to maintain accurate patient records for better healthcare management.

 

The administration has appealed to patients and their attendants to extend their cooperation in this regard so that registration procedures and healthcare services can be provided smoothly and efficiently.

 

The advisory has been issued in the interest of patient care and effective hospital administration.
