The meeting, held in the Old Conference Hall of DC’S office, witnessed the participation of senior officials, including Antara Sen, Additional District Commissioner (Magistracy), Circle Officers Rituparna Bhadra (Lakhipur Revenue Circle) and Maria Tanim (Sonai Revenue Circle), along with Assistant Commissioner Praveen Kumar Mahato and Arabinda Das, Regional Executive Engineer I/C of the Pollution Control Board. The diverse representation underscored the administration’s multi-faceted approach to ensuring sustainability and compliance within the industry.
Key directives issued during the meeting included mandatory compliance with legal requirements such as obtaining No Objection Certificates (NOCs), royalty payments, and pollution control certifications. The administration also reiterated its commitment to labor welfare, urging strict adherence to labor laws and emphasizing zero tolerance for child labor. The Child Protection Department pledged stringent action against violators to safeguard children’s rights.
On the environmental front, the district administration advocated for the adoption of advanced technologies like zigzag and vertical kilns to enhance energy efficiency and significantly reduce emissions. Circle Officers were tasked with closely monitoring the implementation of these eco-friendly practices to ensure industry-wide compliance.
