MP asks govt officials for efficient delivery of public service

way2barak, January 15: Member of Parliament, Silchar constituency ,Dr Rajdeep Roy chaired the district development coordination monitoring committee meeting (DISHA) at the new conference hall of DC’S office here on Friday to review the status and progress under central as well as state government schemes in the Cachar district. District Commissioner, Rohan Kumar Jha, Chief Executive Officer Zilla Parishad, Ranjeet Kumar Laskar, members of DISHA committee besides other concerned district officials were present in the meeting.
At the outset, MP Dr Rajdeep Roy reviewed the action taken report on the decisions of the previous DISHA meeting.
The MP took the comprehensive review of physical and financial achievements like MGNREGA, PMGSY ,Amrit Sarovar ,MPLADS , Ayushman Bharat , Swach Bharat Mission etc. The MP also reviewed the achievements under the schemes implemented by PWD, Jal jivan mission,APDCL, agriculture, health and others. A powerpoint presentation was also presented on the achievements and progress being executed in the district by different government departments.
In the meeting, progress of various departmental developmental activities, progress of rural roads in Udharband, Sonai, Lakhipur, Katigorah areas, progress of rural electrification i.e. installation of smart meters, progress of work of PMGSY were also discussed.  The food & Civil supply Department,  Health, Education, Social Welfare, PHE, Agriculture, ICDS, Beti Bachao Beti Padhao departments  and roads in various municipal areas were also discussed.
MP Dr Roy also directed the concerned departmental officials for overall development and said that due measures have been taken by the government, therefore the ongoing schemes should be completed as soon as possible without further delay.
The Chairman as well as the MPs were briefed about the activities of Swachh Bharat Mission, Sports, Irrigation, Labour, e-Labour Portal etc. In the meeting MP Dr Roy asked the engineer P.W.D to complete the construction work of primary health centre, Bihara Shiv -Tila under signature project within the stipulated time. He also asked the PWD engineer and officials to complete the land acquisition process under Assam Mala Project in consultation with the District Commissioner Rohan Kumar Jha and leading persons from the locality.
Dr Roy also asked General Manager D.I.C.C to complete the selection process of  beneficiaries under P.M Biswakarma scheme in coordination with the G.P presidents of the district. In the meeting, MP Dr. Roy urged all the concerned officials of the district to complete all the government projects properly and within the stipulated time.
MP Dr Roy emphasized on optimum utilization of available resources and instructed the concerned officers to closely monitor and follow the progress of all ongoing development works. Appreciating the efforts of district administration, the MP expressed satisfaction over the overall progress achieved in the district in the implementation of the central and state  sponsored schemes. He also advised the PRI and MC members to effectively monitor and help administration in successful implementation of the schemes.
Dr Rajdeep Roy also directed the officers concerned to resolve the bottlenecks, if any and exhorted the officers and field functionaries to work as a team for better results and efficient delivery of services to the people.
