Heavy to very heavy rainfall warning in NE including Assam during Diwali

way2barak, Oct.21: The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued heavy to very heavy rainfall warning for several states/UTs for next few days. It’s very likely over Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Kerala on 22 & 23 October. Odisha may witness it from 23 to 25 October. It’s likely over West Bengal, Assam, Meghalaya and other North Eastern (NE) states on 24 & 25 October.

Fairly widespread/ Widespread light/ moderate rainfall with isolated heavy falls & thunderstorm/ lightning very likely over Assam & Meghalaya and Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram & Tripura during 24th
-26th and Arunachal Pradesh on 25th October, 2022. Isolated very heavy rainfall also very likely over Assam & Meghalaya and Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram & Tripura on 25th & 26th October, 2022.
