NIT Silchar secures 10th rank among Indian institutes & 1st among the NITs

way2barak, Oct.12: National Institute of Technology (NIT), Silchar ranked with a Global Rank in the Band of 601-800 by the highly reputed Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2023. NIT Silchar secured 10th rank among the Indian institutes and 1st among the NIT’s. The ranks of IITs and NITs who participated are given below.

In 2020, NIT Silchar ranked internationally for the very first time since the inception by the highly reputed Times Higher Education World University rankings with a Global Rank in the Band of 801-1000. It is quite a commendable effort to make 200 rank band jump within 4 years. More than 1,799 universities across 104 countries have been ranked overall in all subjects which gives an idea of the global standing of NIT Silchar.

The ranking is based on 13 calibrated performance indicators across four areas of teaching, research, knowledge transfer and international transfer.
