Youth commits suicide, headphone found attached to his ears & mobile in his pocket

Aug 25: A 22-year-old youth committed suicide at Dhanehari Part-II in Sonai constituency of Cachar. The deceased was identified as Jewel Hussain Laskar, S/O. Faijur Rahman Laskar. Jewel worked as an assistant to a mason. As per reports, he went out from his house on Wednesday night. However, he did not return back. People tried to search him in vain.

On Thursday morning, he was suddenly spotted hanging from a tree in a secluded place at a little distance from his house. Curiously, when his dead body was brought down, his mobile phone was found in his pocket and the headphones were attached to his ears. Prima facie evidence reveals that the youth might have committed suicide due to love related affairs.

Sonai Police reached the spot. After preliminary investigation, Sub Inspector Raju Sinha from Sonai Police Station sent the dead body to Silchar Medical College & Hospital (SMCH) for post- mortem.
