652 found Covid +ve in Assam on Thursday, active cases 5,613 in the state

July 28: On Thursday, out of 9,220 tests, 652 persons were detected as COVID-19 positive in Assam. With this, the state tally of coronavirus stands at 7,37,756. The positivity rate in the state is 7.07 percent. Out of the 652 positive cases, the high case load districts are: Lakhimpur (56), Dhemaji (52), Kamrup Metro (47), Dibrugarh (39) and Sonitpur (38).. Further, 35 persons were detected as Covid positive in Cachar during the day.

Further, on Thursday, none died in the state due to COVID-19. The death toll in the state stands at 6,663. The recovery rate is 98.15 percent. 729 persons were discharged during the day. So far, 7,24,128 persons got cured and were discharged. There are at present 5,613 active Covid patients in the state.

It needs mention here that on Wednesday, 797 persons tested positive in Assam and 01 death was registered.
