Shantica celebrates their 1st anniversary by felicitating ‘flood warriors’

July 24: SHANTICA, a start up initiative by corporate experts to train youths of Silchar celebrated its 1st anniversary on Sunday. The completion of 1 year of its existence was celebrated by Shantica by felicitating the ‘flood warriors’. During the day, they felicitated more than 20 NGO’s and around 50 individuals who helped people during the recent devastating flood risking their own lives.

Shantica also hosted a free mock interview session for all youths in Silchar. Lastly, it also conducted a book donation campaign and plans to donate the books to the needy children in Silchar.

Shantica has been able to help 2500+ students with career guidance in Northeast India and also trained 100+ students with professional skills like resume building, presentation, interview skills and communication skills.

According to the founder of Shantica, Sucharita Dhar, “Most of the kids in their generation had very limited exposure and zero guidance while growing up. While a few lucky ones could go out and achieve their dreams, a huge majority was lost and didn’t know what to do in their career. So to solve this problem and develop their hometown, 4 passionate youths, Sucharita Dhar (HR Manager), Ankita Paul (People Manager), Tapashree Dev (Training Manager), Ricky Dev (IT Manager) launched Shantica on 25 July, 2021.

She said, “With our first hand corporate knowledge, we are coaching aspirants with key skills like effective communication, leadership skills, technical skills, confidence building etc as 50 youths get rejected in interviews because they lack these important skills. as per our recent survey, 85% of the students from Silchar feel they don’t have enough guidance & support to pursue their career goals.”
