Srikona Battalion of Assam rifles extends helping hand to the flood victims of Silchar

July 2: In continuation with the relentless flood relief efforts in the Silchar Town of Assam, Srikona Battalion of Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ 21 Sector Assam Rifles & IGAR (East) extended a helping hand to the flood victims of Barsangan village, 19 km deep inside of Cachar district.

The Medical team of Srikona Battalion reached out to the local populace suffering from flood. The Srikona Battalion abreast by its extensive relief operations in the rural villages of Cachar district rendered medical aid to the flood victims. A medical aid post was set up to assess, advice and counsel health issues of around 81 locals to include 16 children, 44 women and 21 men. The humanitarian efforts of the Srikona battalion were highly appreciated by the locals. The success of the camps highlights the robust bilateral relations between Assam Rifles and local populace.
