Bike stolen again in broad daylight; this time from outside Silchar DC office

May 10: In a dare devil incident of robbery, another motorbike was stolen from outside the office of the Deputy Commissioner, Cachar on Tuesday. As per report, one Ajit Kumar Das, a resident of Machimpur Part I went inside the office of the Deputy Commissioner on Tuesday after parking his Hero Glamour motorbike just outside the office. A few minutes later when he came out of the office, he was surprised to find his bike missing. Instantly, he raised a hue and cry. Passers-by came to his aid. They searched in vain the surrounding area of the DC office. He later on lodged a missing complaint at Silchar Sadar Police Station.

It needs mention here that just the previous day, another motorbike got stolen from the Silchar courtyard. Prior to that, on last Wednesday, Basu Dey, a resident of Sonai Road went to Bank of Baroda on Wednesday at 11.30 AM. He parked his bike on the street just outside the bank. However, when he came out at around 12.10 PM, he found that his bike was missing.
