12-year-old child die in an autorickshaw accident in Karimganj district

March 17: In a tragic incident, a 12-year-old child died in an autorickshaw accident on Thursday. The incident took place at Borthol Hemarmukh village under Badarpur Police Station in Karimganj district. The deceased was identified as Faijul Ahmed.

As per reports, the deceased along with one of his friends was going to the market in an autorickshaw. However, the auto driver lost control and fell down all by itself on the roadside. This resulted in the death of Faijul Ahmed. It was later on learnt that the auto driver did not have any valid documents.

This resulted in great anger among the local residents. They alleged that vehicles in the Borthol area ply without valid license and other documents resulting in frequent accidents. Police reached the spot and took the autorickshaw in their custody. The body of the deceased was sent to Karimganj Civil Hospital for post-mortem.
