Rotary Club of Silchar Pink felicitates 2 retired nurses of SMCH on Int’l Women’s Day

March 9: Rotary Club of Silchar Pink observed the International Women’s Day on 8 March, 2022 in a befitting yet simple manner. During the day, Rotary Pink felicitated two retired nurses of Silchar Medical College & Hospital (SMCH). They are Kalyani Chakraborty and Padma Sinha.

At the beginning, Dr Bijoylakhshmi Das, Vice President of Rotary Club of Silchar Pink in her address highlighted the importance of International Women’s Day. This was followed by felicitation of the two retired nurses with a memento and gifts.

Expressing their views, the two nurses Kalyani Chakraborty and Padma Sinha expressed thanks to Rotary Club of Silchar Pink for the honour bestowed upon them. Others who spoke during the occasion were the President of the Club Jayashree Kar, Samita Dutta, Dopati Paul and Babi Dutta Dey.
