4 women peddlers nabbed with 33 kg cannabis worth over ₹3 lakh from a night super bus

March 5: Four women peddlers were arrested with cannabis worth over Rs. 3 lakh at Churaibari in the Assam- Tripura border. The four women were traveling from Dharmanagar in Tripura to Guwahati in a night super bus bearing number AS/01/HC/9304. On being searched, 33 kg cannabis were recovered from their possession. Out of the four arrested peddlers, 1 is from the state of Bihar, while the other three are from Tripura. Those arrested were identified as Payel Singha, Namita Debbarma, Ruzina Debbarma and Mangalakshi Debbarma.
