Awareness programme ‘Let’s Talk Dolphin’ to be held at Cachar College on 28 Feb

Feb. 26: On the occasion of National Science Day, an awareness programme on National Aquatic Animal entitled ‘Let’s Talk Dolphin’ will be organised at Cachar College. The programme will begin at 3 PM on 28 February in the conference hall of Cachar College.

The programme is organised under the NEC funded project on River Dolphin and is organised under the joint initiative of State Forest Department Assam, Department of Ecology & Environment, Assam University and Department of Zoology, Cachar College, Silchar.

Dr Shyama Prasad Biswas, retired Professor and a veteran Dolphin researcher and Prof. Parthankar Choudhury from Assam University will deliver lectures on the topic and will also interact with the forest officials and media persons, teachers and students on the need for conservation of the elusive mammal in the aqua zone of Barak Valley.
