Govt to introduce online services in obtaining building permission up to G+2 level: CM Assam
Feb. 7: Chief Minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma underlined faceless services for seamless service delivery and ensuring convenience to citizens. The Chief Minister said this during a press conference held on Monday at Janata Bhawan, Dispur. In this regard, the Chief Minister said that Government of Assam will introduce faceless services in obtaining municipal holding numbers, building permission up to G+2 level, etc.
In short, the people from now onwards can apply online for building permission upto 2nd floor sitting at the comfort of their home. Even the municipal holding numbers will also be provided in online basis. CM Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma reiterated Government of Assam’s commitment to strengthening urban infrastructure and pointed out a number of initiatives taken it this regard like:
- Integrated Deputy Commisioner’s Office in all district headquarters
- stadiums
- convention centres
- shifting of district jails
- faceless citizen centric services, etc.
