DC Cachar inaugurates Mission Indradhanush for children in Silchar
Feb. 7: Cachar Deputy Commissioner, Keerthi Jalli ceremonially inaugurated Intensified Mission Indra Dhanush ( IMI 4.0) in presence of Chief Executive Officer, Zilla Parishad (I/c Health) Cachar, Eldad Lalthakum Faihriem , Joint Director of Health, Cachar, Dr Ashutosh Barman, District Immunization Officer, Dr Sumona Naiding, Superintendent of S.M Dev Civil Hospital, Dr Alokananda Nath, Dr Reema Patwa, Dr Anusua Deb and Health officials at the conference hall of S.M Dev civil hospital here in Silchar.
Speaking on the occasion, Additional Deputy Commissioner, in-charge Health, Eldad Lalthakum Faihriem said,”I appeal all guardians to get their children vaccinated so that Cachar district can achieve 100% vaccination. I also request the parents not to leave their house during the campaign period so that ANM can vaccinate the drop out children.”
It is pertinent to mention that in Cachar district, a total of 144 sessions has been planned to vaccinate children between 0-2 years. Vaccination is due for 1,560 children and also 271 pregnant women will be administered Td vaccine. The IMI 4.0 campaign will held from 7 February, 2022 to 15 February, 2022 other than Wednesday and Saturday. DC Keerthi Jalli, Joint Director of Health Cachar, Dr Ashutosh Barman also requested all to give there active support for the successful implementation of the programme.
