Covid vaccination centres can operate till 10 PM daily, Centre write to States

Jan.11: There is no time limit set for operationalisation of Covid vaccination centres, the Union Health Ministry told the states on Monday and further confirmed that they can operate till 10 pm daily depending upon their human resources and infrastructure. On behalf of many states, the Centre was told that there is an impression that 8 am to 8 pm is the final time of CVC. It is only after this the Centre wrote to the states clearing dilemma regarding the timings.

Meanwhile, India registered 1,68,063 new coronavirus infections taking the total tally of COVID-19 cases to 3,58,75,790 which includes 4,461 cases of the Omicron variant, according to the Union Health Ministry data updated on Tuesday. The active cases rose to 8,21,446, the highest in 208 days, while the death toll climbed to 4,84,213 with 277 fresh fatalities.
