13 found Covid+ve in Karimganj & 10 Hailakandi on Sunday

Jan. 9: On Sunday, Hailakandi registered 10 new COVID-19 case. The district has altogether has 65 active COVID-19 cases. During the day, 61 RAT tests and 15 RT-PCR tests were done. No patients were discharged during the day. With this, the district tally of Covid cases has now reached 8,006 (both 1st & 2nd wave).

As of now, a total of 4,514 patients were discharged. It needs mention here that 13 persons were found positive in Hailakandi on Saturday. Till date, 51 persons died due to Covid-19 in Hailakandi district.  A total of 1,220 persons were vaccinated on Sunday.

There was a sharp rise in the number of Covid patients in Karimganj district. Karimganj registered 13 fresh COVID case on Sunday. The district has currently 93 active COVID cases, while no patients were discharged on Sunday. 398 swab samples were collected during the day. It needs mention here that 22 persons were detected positive in Karimganj on Saturday.
