1 in ventilator, 2 in oxygen support out of 15 active cases at SMCH on Saturday

Jan. 1: The Covid-19 cases at SMCH has suddenly increased at Silchar Medical College & Hospital (SMCH) on Saturday. However, the last 24 hours (5 PM on 31 December to 5 PM on 01 January) did not witness the death of any Covid-19 positive patient at SMCH. This was informed by Dr. Bhaskar Gupta, Vice Principal of SMCH on Saturday evening.

Dr Bhaskar Gupta, Vice Principal of SMCH informed that till 5 PM on 1 January, there were 15 Covid-19 active patients at Silchar Medical College. Further, 01 patient was put under ventilator support, and 02 are in oxygen support. In the last 24 hours, 06 Covid positive patients were admitted at SMCH and 01 was discharged.
