Programme schedule of HS pre-final test 2021 announced by AHSEC, exam to start on 15 Dec

Nov. 3: Assam Higher Secondary Education Council (AHSEC) in a notification issued earlier stated that the institutions should compulsorily conduct pre-final test for the students of Higher Secondary (HS) Final year (Class XII) in the month of December, 2021. On Wednesday, AHSEC has come up with a programme schedule for conducting this examination.

The HS pre-final test 2021 will commence on 15 December and will come to an end on 4 January, 2021. The papers will contain questions for full 100 marks. Examination timing for Morning shift will be from 9 AM, while the afternoon session will start from 1.30 PM.

Earlier on 7 October, 2021, the AHSEC issued detailed guidelines regarding the conduct of this examination:

  • All the Head of the Institutions concerned are requested to arrange for holding the said examination following the processes such as setting of subject wise question papers, supplying of answer-scripts, issuance of admit cards, evaluation of answer-scripts, declaration of results, issuance of marks-sheets etc.
  • It will be mandatory on the part of the said examination conducting institutions to upload the subject wise marks and other details of the students in the Council’s portal, which will be opened in due course of time. •
  • The question papers should be set by the teacher(s) concerned as per the prescribed syllabi for the said Pre-Final Test which are being provided by the Council.
  • The examination of the subjects having practical parts will be of 70/30 marks for theory and 30/70 marks for practical separately (as the case may be). Subjects having no practical will be of 100 marks.
  • In respect of the subject “Swadesh Adhyayan”, there will be 80 marks for theory and 20 marks for internal assessment.
  • The practical examinations will be conducted by the internal examiner(s) and supporting staffs.
  • Institutions shall preserve the answer-scripts of the said examination, which may be sought by the Council as and when necessary.
  • Weightage of the question papers will be sent to all the institutions very shortly.
