Active cases 40 in Cachar

Nov. 1: The District Health Department of Cachar updated the Covid-19 data of Monday at 11 PM. As per the latest data, a total of 11 persons were found positive in the district on 1 November. Also, 29 patients were discharged during the day. With this, the number of active cases in Cachar has come down to 40. It needs mention here that on Sunday, 03 persons were detected as Covid-19 positive in Cachar.

As per the updated data, a total of 2,227 Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) were done, out of which, no persons were found positive, whereas 03 more were detected positive in RT-PCR Test. With this, the total number of Covid cases since 1 April, 2021 reached 20,300 whereas during this phase, 20,044 patients were discharged.

Apart from this, the district authority informed that out of the 40 active patients:

16 of them are admitted at SMCH
01 at MH
03 at Green Heals Pvt Hospital
00 at Cachar Cancer Hospital
20 patients are in home isolation.

The Covid-19 situation in Cachar is gradually improving. There has been substantial decline in the number of daily positive cases. The last 24 hours (5 PM on 31 October to 5 PM on 1 November) did not witness the death of any Covid-19 positive patient at Silchar Medical College & Hospital (SMCH). This was informed by Dr. Bhaskar Gupta, Vice Principal of SMCH on Monday evening.

Dr Bhaskar Gupta, Vice Principal of SMCH informed that till 5 PM on 1 November, there were 10 Covid-19 active patients at Silchar Medical College. Further, no patient was put under ventilator support, and 01 of them was in oxygen support. In the last 24 hours, no Covid positive patient was admitted at SMCH and none of them were discharged.
