Dr Bhaskar Gupta, Vice Principal of SMCH tests Covid-19 positive

Sept 7: Renowned physician and Vice Principal of Silchar Medical College & Hospital (SMCH) was detected as Covid-19 positive on Tuesday. His condition was, however, learnt to be stable. Dr. Bhaskar Gupta from the Deptt of Dermatology of SMCH has been on the forefront of the war against Coronavirus since the outbreak of this pandemic in 2020. Everyday since March 2020, Dr Gupta in collaboration with the district health department has been maintaining liaison with the media fraternity and conveyed all important developments related to Covid-19 on a daily basis.

It is noteworthy to state here that, even today after being detected as Covid-19 positive, Dr Bhaskar Gupta was active in his duty and informed the media houses the daily Covid bulletin of SMCH. As per sources, Dr. Gupta is now at home isolation.
