Cruelty at its height! Mother films herself torturing her 18-month-old baby till it bleeds profusely

Aug 31: The term “Mother” is certainly a word which denotes love, affection, caring to its ultimate height. Mother’s  love is countless and meaningful. Her virtuous of kindness is hardly repaid by any precious things in this world. Her deep parental kindness in bringing us up and the hardships she has gone through will never be repaid as they are priceless. In other words, her love for her child is endless and indescribable! However, a recent incident from Andhra Pradesh has shocked everybody for the cruelty she exhibited towards her 18-month-old child till it bleeds profusely.

A 22-year-old woman in Andhra Pradesh has been arrested by Tamil Nadu Police after videos emerged of her thrashing and torturing her 18-month-old child. Thulasi reportedly recorded around 250 videos of herself, some of which showed her hitting the child’s face till it started bleeding. The incident came to light after many videos of the assault were widely shared online which subsequently sparked outrage on social media after the videos of Thulasi mercilessly beating her child went viral.

Vadivazhagan had married 22-year-old Thulasi five years ago and the couple was staying at Mottur village in Tamil Nadu. They have two children, Gokul (4) and Pradeep (2). However, Vadivazhagan and Thulasi had constant arguments, which eventually forced him to leave Thulasi with her parents in Andhra Pradesh.

One video exhibits her repeatedly hitting the kid’s face, as the little one wails in ache, and continues to hit the kid on the mouth until the kid begins bleeding. She pauses solely to examine her personal hand, aching from all of the beating, and later to carry up the crying little one in entrance of the digicam to point out the blood on the toddler’s face. In another video, Thulasi was seen hammering the child’s leg with her fist, and in another one she showed her child’s back which had red patches due to the brutal beating. The abuse came to light following a complaint filed by Thulasi’s estranged husband, Vadivazhagan, aged 37 years.

According to the investigators, after every fight with her ex-husband, she would hit the child and take a video of it. She had undergone a difficult delivery during the birth of Pradeep, which was also the cause of her anger and behaviour towards the child. “Prima facie, it also appears she was in contact with another person and they were planning on getting married. This caused a marital dispute with the husband, Vadivazhagan, which also motivated her to torture the child,” said Dr N Shreenatha, the Superintendent of Police of Villupuram district. The police is now searching for Thulasi’s boyfriend to uncover further details.

Thulasi is facing charges of culpable homicide not amounting to murder, causing hurt, and abduction. Following a magistrate’s order of examining the mother’s mental health, she was proven mentally sound with the absence of any mental health issue by psychiatrists. Meanwhile, the children were given to their father by the police.
