Security beefed up in Cachar; Executive Magistrates deputed in Assam- Mizoram Border

Aug. 6: In view of the recent violent incident that took place at the Assam- Mizoram Border, the Cachar District Administration has beefed up security in Khulicherra area under Sonai Circle. The Administration has deputed Executive Magistrates to look after law and order in Khulicherra area.

• In an order issued to this effect on Thursday, the Administration has deputed BDO and Executive Magistrate Mrinmoy Haloi bearing mobile number 9854087930 will look after the area on Sunday.
• BDO and Executive Magistrate Rajjyoti Borah with mobile number 9818548721 will look after the area on Monday.
• BDO and Executive Magistrate Avinash Paul with mobile number 8638980660 will look after the area on Tuesday.
• BDO and Executive Magistrate Jatra Kanta Karmakar with mobile number 600295231 will look after the area on Wednesday.
• BDO and Executive Magistrate Arif Ahmed Choudhury with mobile number 9613330179 will look after the area on Thursday.
• BDO and Executive Magistrate Hussain Mohammed Mobin with mobile number 7002837791 will look after the area on Friday.
• BDO and Executive Magistrate Biplob Kumar Bordoloi with mobile number 8638155497 will look after the area on Saturday.

“The Magistrates will take appropriate steps as they deem fit and proper to deal with law and order situation and they will report directly to the District Magistrate and also Additional District Magistrate i/c Magistracy Branch from time to time about the law and order situation in their respective areas,” the order stated.
