With 18 more Covid +ve cases, day’s total in Cachar rises to 61 on 24 July
Active cases 308 in Cachar; 30 discharged on Saturday
July 24: The District Health Department of Cachar updated the Covid-19 data of Saturday at 11.30 PM. As per the latest data, 18 more persons were detected as Coronavirus positive during the day. With this, a total of 61 persons were found positive in the district on 24 July. Earlier, at 6 PM, it was informed that 43 persons were found positive. With this, the number of active cases in Cachar has reached 308. This was informed by District Media Expert on Saturday night. Also, 30 patients were discharged during the day. It needs mention here that on Friday, 81 persons were detected as Covid-19 positive in Cachar.
Further, on Saturday, 2,934 persons were vaccinated in Cachar district. As of now, a total of 4,57,849 persons were vaccinated in the district.
As per the updated data, a total of 3,461 Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) were done, out of which, 41 persons were found positive, whereas 20 more were detected positive in RT-PCR Test. With this, the total number of Covid cases since 1 April, 2021 reached 18,832 whereas during this phase, 18,344 patients were discharged.

123 patients are in home isolation.
The Covid-19 situation in gradually is gradually improving. There has been substantial decline in the number of daily positive cases. The last 24 hours (5 PM on 23 July to 5 PM on 24 July) did not witness the death of any Covid-19 positive patient at Silchar Medical College & Hospital (SMCH). This was informed by Dr. Bhaskar Gupta, Vice Principal of SMCH on Saturday evening.
Dr Bhaskar Gupta, Vice Principal of SMCH informed that till 5 PM on 24 July, there were 66 Covid-19 active patients at Silchar Medical College, out of which 36 patients were there in the ICU, whereas, 20 of them were in the Covid ward. Further, 08 patients were put under ventilator support and 42 of them were in oxygen support. In the last 24 hours, 13 Covid positive patients were admitted at SMCH and 08 of them were discharged.
