Assam receives 3 lakh doses of Covishield, vaccination to restart again in districts soon
July 9: Since the last few days, there has been acute shortage of primarily Covishield across the districts in Assam. In Cachar district too, Covishield was hardly available since last three to four days, especially in Silchar town. However, state Health Minister Keshab Mahanta on Thursday informed in a tweet that Assam has received 3 lakh doses of Covishield and 14,870 doses of Covaxin.
As per sources, both Covishield and Covaxin will be distributed among the districts in a day or two. That means, in all probability, vaccines will be available to the beneficiaries again from next week.
