112 tests Covid +ve in Hailakandi on Tuesday, 119 discharged, 1 death registered

May 25: Hailakandi registered 112 new COVID-19 cases on Tuesday. Of the 112 positive cases detected on Tuesday, 107 have been found positive under Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) and 05 found positive in RT-PCR test. The district has altogether 734 active COVID-19 cases. During the day, 1,232 RAT tests and 302 RT-PCR tests were done. 119 patients were discharged during the day. It needs mention here that 85 persons were found positive in Hailakandi on Monday. With this, the district tally of Covid cases has now reached 5,457. Till date, 18 persons have died in Hailakandi due to Covid-19.

As of now, in the 51, 342 persons have received the 1st dose of the vaccine (irrespective of age), whereas, 15,911 have been administered the 2nd dose in Hailakandi district.

Abdul Nur Choudhury (60) from Katlicherra in Hailakandi district was admitted at SMCH on 25 May. He passed away at 2.12 PM on the same day (25 May).
