4 found Covid +ve in Cachar on 26 November

Nov. 26: The District Health Department of Cachar updated the Covid-19 data of Friday at 11.30 PM. As per the latest data, 04 persons were found positive in the district on 26 November. Also, 04 patients were discharged during the day. With this, the number of active cases in Cachar has reached 26 (20 in Home isolation & 06 in hospitals). It needs mention here that on Thursday, 04 persons were detected as Covid-19 positive in Cachar.

As per the updated data, a total of 1,239 Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) were done, out of which, 01 person was found positive, whereas 03 more were detected positive out of 361 RT-PCR Tests. With this, the total number of Covid cases since 1 April, 2021 reached 20,399 whereas during this phase, 20,157 patients were discharged.

The Covid-19 situation in Cachar is gradually improving. There has been substantial decline in the number of daily positive cases. The last 24 hours (5 PM on 25 November to 5 PM on 26 November) did not witness the death of any Covid-19 positive patient at Silchar Medical College & Hospital (SMCH). This was informed by Dr. Bhaskar Gupta, Vice Principal of SMCH on Friday evening.

Dr Bhaskar Gupta, Vice Principal of SMCH informed that till 5 PM on 26 November, there were 07 Covid-19 active patients at Silchar Medical College. Further, no patient was put under ventilator support, and 01 was in oxygen support. In the last 24 hours, 02 Covid positive patients were admitted at SMCH and 02 of them were discharged.
