3 more Covid +ve patients from Cachar dies at SMCH on Thursday
21 patients in ventilator support & 129 put under oxygen at SMCH
May 20: Death of Covid-19 patients continued unabated in Barak Valley. Thursday witnessed demise of 03 more Covid-19 positive patients at Silchar Medical College & Hospital (SMCH). This was informed by Dr. Bhaskar Gupta, Vice Principal of SMCH. Their detailed reports were forwarded to the State Death Audit Board as per the protocol. All the three deceased are from Cachar district. The deceased were identified as:
- Rupak Paul (36) from Masimpur, Cachar was admitted at SMCH on 19 May. He, however, breathed his last at 1 PM on 20 May, 2021.
- Krishna Kanu (64) from Derby in Cachar got admitted at SMCH on 19 May. He passed away at 12.55 PM on 20 May.
- Jahan Ahmed Laskar (46) from Masimpur, Cachar took admission at SMCH on 18 May. He died at 2.30 PM on 20 May, 2021.
