3 children donate entire piggy bank savings to DC Cachar for flood victims

July 2: In a heart-warming gesture, three children in Silchar have emptied their humble piggy banks and donated their little savings for the flood victims. They have enthusiastically extended helping hands to provide relief to the people affected by the devastating flood.

On Saturday, the kids, Ritisha Kumat, Divyanshi Kumat and Hitakshi Daftari handed over Rs. 1,100, their entire piggy bank savings to Deputy Commissioner, Cachar, Keerthi Jalli at her office in Silchar. “The District Administration salutes this gesture of the kids and their concern for the flood-affected people,” stated DC Cachar while appreciating the philanthropic zeal of the children.

Ritisha and Divyanshi are the daughters of Manish Kumar Kumat of Janiganj, Silchar, whereas,  Hitakshi Daftari is the daughter of Chayan Daftari ,Janiganj, Silchar. The Kumats are students of Holy Cross HS School, Silchar and Hitakshi studies at Sarla Birla School.
