Students of TDC CBCS 2nd & 4th sem to be promoted to 3rd & 5th sem based on home assignment

Sept. 29: Students of intermediate semester of TDC (CBCS) i.e. 2nd and 4th Semester who are eligible for promotion to the next higher semester will be promoted to 3rd and 5th semester respectively. This was stated in a notification issued by Dr S.Dutta Roy, Controller of Examinations, Assam University on 29 September, 2021. That means, there would be no offline or online examinations for students of 2nd and 4th semester and they would be promoted to 3rd and 5th semester.

The notification further stated that Marks for TDC (CBCS) 2nd and 4th semester shall be awarded based on UGC’s D.O. No. F.1-1/2021 (secy) dated 16th July, 2021. In case of AECC (EVS) for 2nd semester and SEC for 4th semester, examination will be done based on home assignment as there is no Continuous and Comprehensive Assessment (Internal Assessment) marks. Questions of AECC (EVS) and SEC will be provided to all affiliated colleges before hand by the Examination Branch of Assam University.

In case of practical examination of TDC (CBCS) – 2nd & 4th Semester, examination will be conducted by the colleges with two teachers from the concerned department as examiners and last date for uploading marks in the portal is fixed 15th Nov, 2021. All principals of the affiliated colleges were asked to complete examination (submission of assignment) of AECC (EVS) and SEC papers on or before 9 November, 2021.
