273 found +ve in Assam on Thursday, active cases 1,138 in the state

July 7: On Thursday, out of 2,631 tests, 273 persons were detected as COVID-19 positive in Assam. With this, the state tally of coronavirus stands at 7,25,950. The positivity rate in the state is 10.38 percent. Out of the 273 positive cases, 100 were detected from Kamrup Metro, 46 from Kamrup Rural, 24 from Dibrugarh and 17 from Darrang.

Further, on Thursday, none died in the state due to COVID-19. The death toll in the state stands at 6,639. The recovery rate is 98.74 percent. 90 persons were discharged during the day. So far, 7,16,823 persons got cured and were discharged. There are at present 1,138 active Covid patients in the state.

It needs mention here that on Wednesday, 196 persons tested positive in Assam and no death was registered.
