2,433 tests Covid-19 +ve in Assam on Tuesday, 1,745 discharged & 34 deaths registered

July 6: On Tuesday, out of 1,00,262 tests, 2,640 persons were detected as COVID-19 positive in Assam. With this, the state tally of coronavirus has now gone upto 5,22,267. The positivity rate in the state is 2.43 percent. Kamrup (Metro) district registered 203 positive cases during the day. Further, on Tuesday, 34 more persons lost their lives in the state due to COVID-19. With this, the death toll in the state reached 4,717. The recovery rate is 94.45 percent.

It needs mention here that on Monday, 2,640 persons tested positive in Assam and 31 deaths were registered.

On Tuesday, 1,745 patients were discharged in Assam. With this, a total of 4,93,306 patients got cured and were subsequently discharged from various hospitals and Covid Care centres across the state. This was confirmed in a tweet by NHM, Assam. The recovery rate in the state is 94.45 percent.  At present, there are 22,897 active cases in the state.

Further, during the day, 34 patients died in Assam due to COVID-19. Out of the 34 deceased, 04 each are from Golaghat, Kamrup Rural & Tinsukia; 03 each from Dibrugarh & Sivasagar; 02 each from Jorhat, Kamrup Metro, Karimganj & Lakhimpur; 01 each from Barpeta, Bongaigaon, Dima Hasao, Hojai, Kokhrajhar, Morigaon, Nalbari & Sonitpur. The death tally of the state now stands at 4,717.
