23 fresh COVID-19 cases detected in Hailakandi, count now 238
23 June: 23 more fresh COVID-19 novel coronavirus cases have been detected in Hailakandi on Tuesday, taking the total count to 238.
Health authorities here disclosed that Anowar Hussain Barbhuiya, 35, Ali Hussain Barbhuiya, 27, Majbul Hussain, 25, Kabir Hussain, 20, Saharul Islam Hazari,19, Sekh Jahirul Hoque 18, Hussain Ahmed Sodial 22, Salamuddin Barbhuiya, 21, Sabul Hussain, 27, Riajul Hussain Barbhuiya, 22, Abdul Khalique Barbhuiya, 20, Rubul Hussain Choudhury, 25, Akbar Hussain Tapadar, 28, Badrul Islam Laskar, 21, Ali Hussain Ansari, 31, Fazal Hussain Barbhuiya, 19, Md.Hafizur Rahman Laskar, 24, Abdul Hannan Barbhuiya, 26, Alimuddin Barbhuiya, 28, Mustafa Ahmed Laskar, 29, Fajarul Islam Laskar, 25, Mustak Ahmed Laskar 23, and Suhul Ahmed Barbhuiya, 19, all under institutional quarantine facility have tested positive.
Of the 23 COVID-19 infected, 16 were under quarantine centre at AK High Madrassa, four at Jamira High School quarantine centre and three at ALC College quarantine centre. 16 infected persons have travel history to Hyderabad, five to Bengalaru and two to Karnataka. Some infected persons have been admitted at Dholai MG Model Hospital while others at Algapur Model Hospital here.
103 patients have been discharged from civil hospital in Hailakandi, SMC&H, Silchar and Guwahati Medical College and Hospital. There are currently 133 active cases. Two COVID-19 positive patients viz., Mangoli Rani Das, 53, and Foijul Haque Barbhuiya, 65, breathed their last at SMC&H. Of the 6,153 swab samples taken, 4,905 turned out to be negative, as per health bulletin released on Tuesday evening. 928 swab results are awaited. Altogether 1,369 persons are under facility quarantine centre and 2,785 under home quarantine.
