FIR lodged against a youth for ‘objectionable’ post against Hindu Gods & Goddess

April 21: An FIR was lodged with Dwarbond Police Investigation Centre in Cachar against one Dilwor Laskar of Silchar for allegedly posting “vulgar and objectionable comments against Hindu Gods & Gddesses.” The FIR was filed by Snehal Chakroborty, Bajrangdal Dakhin Cachar District President and Vice President of ABVP GCC Unit.

In the FIR, it was stated that Dilwor Laskar, a resident of Meherpur, Silchar has used abusive language in describing the Hindu Gods and Hinduism in his Facebook wall. This he said to be potential enough to create communal tension between two communities. In this connection, he also gave provided the police with screenshots of the alleged ‘objectionable post.’ Later on expressing his views, Snehal Chakraborty demanded immdetiate exemplary action by the police in this matter. He was accompanied by Biswadeep Sen and Mohitosh Tanti to the police station for filing the FIR.
