1st successful case of angioplasty stent implantation done at SMCH

way2barak, Dec.17: The first case of angioplasty stent implantation with post dilatation was successfully done today (17 December, 2022) by Dr. Tirthankar Roy and team at Silchar Medical College & Hospital (SMCH), Silchar on a male patient aged 50 years, who was having 70% block with thrombus formation.

Expressing satisfaction, Thousand Sayantans’ stated, “From 2019, we started working with the demand of ‘Angioplasty Operation facility to be initiated in SMCH’, After constant pressure, today we got this historic moment.
